BANNED.

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

As we all know Family Guy has a reputation for ruffling feathers, and the recent controversy over the abortion episode banned by Fox was no exception. So it’s no surprise that this clip from the most recent season was banned as well. It’s extremely funny, is totally, brilliantly out of order. Stewie in full on rant mode. Enjoy!

YOU’RE WELCOME AMERICA.

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

At the beginning of the year, Will Ferrell launched his own one man show parodying good old GW Bush – You’re Welcome America. It follows on from his successful stint playing Bush on Saturday Night Live. It’s being broadcast on HBO today (natch – could be a download coming on…) But here’s the trailer which shows you how well Ferrell captures the man and the myth.

BEWARE THE DAILY SHOW.

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of the daily show with John Stewart. Ever since More4 in England started broadcasting the shows, it has always been a must see, I’ve now moved to watching it online, the bitesize segments are perfect for catching a little bit of satire in the mornings before the daily grind begins. This week, I sat down to consume my daily slice and the first thing i came across was now widely reported roasting of CNBC’s Rick Santelli and the wider shoddy reporting standards of the channel before, during and after the sub-prime crisis and (now dubbed) the great recession (©New York Times). it’s an absolute must see for a number of points, it’s anger is concentrated, razor sharp and gallows humour funny, and as with all classic Daily Show takedowns uses their own footage against them to ram each depressing point home. Watch it below.

DUBYA BEAT-DOWN COUNTDOWN.

Saturday, January 17th, 2009

Yes, after 8 years of lies, subterfuge, idiocy, mainpulation, torture and grammatical errors it’s finally time to say goodbye to Geroge Walker Bush. While we bask in the anticipation of the Obama presidency, it’s interesting to note how most liberal media outlets are almost looking on the the Bush legacy with a wistfulness. the inherent comedy of the Bush White house looks to be replaced by (dare I say it) competency and reason. Where’s the satire going to come from? Where does the vitriol go? In light of the upcoming satire drought, theKingMob will  post some highlights of the last fagggy embers of the Bush presidency – the lows, the real lows and the filth covered, two girls one cup lows of Dubya.

Lets begin with a trusted source – John Stewart.
